Former Miami Dolphins’ wide receiver Brian Hartline has found a new home in Cleveland. Reportedly, Hartline just inked a two-year, $6 million contract with the Browns.
This makes for a homecoming for the Ohio native and former college player from Ohio State. Hartline, who seems content, had this to share regarding his return to his home state.
I’m very excited. It came down to a little bit of a gut feeling. I did my due diligence and talked to my family. It’s great to be back playing for the hometown team.
I didn’t just want to just meet with teams to meet with them. I wanted to be able to able to picture myself in a situation, to be able to learn from a coaching staff and to build on what I’ve done for six years. I wanted to let things simmer down and take a little time.
During Hartline’s six-year tenure in Miami, he totaled 4,243 receiving yards and scored 12 touchdowns. Hartline also indicated that he plans to start for the Browns no matter what the team tells him his duties will be.
