Report: Bills looking to move into top five of NFL Draft

The Buffalo Bills made the playoffs for the first time in nearly two decades in 2017. But they still might be picking high in the first round of the draft.

It was initially reported that Buffalo was willing to move up in the draft. Now, Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports is reporting that the Bills — who are in need of a quarterback after trading Tyrod Taylor — are actively looking to move into the top five of the upcoming NFL Draft.

Certainly, we should expect Buffalo to be active in the quarterback market. With Taylor gone, Nathan Peterman heads the depth chart. Given how overwhelmed he looked in his limited action in 2017, we can safely say that’s not a viable option.

A move into the top five would all but guarantee the Bills either Sam Darnold, Josh Allen, Baker Mayfield, or Josh Rosen. With two picks in both the first and second rounds, Buffalo has the picks needed to move up in the draft.
