This is potentially a huge loss for a Bengals team that was going to rely on Jones to be a major contributor opposite A.J. Green at wide receiver. The former fifth-round pick out of California recorded 712 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns last season.
With Jones likely out for Week 1, it appears that Mohamed Sanu will get his shot to start. The 2012 third-round pick recorded just 47 receptions for 455 yards and two scores in 2013. He had previously been viewed as starter caliber within the organization, but has since been passed by Jones on the depth chart.
