Report: Bengals’ Joe Burrow won’t need surgery on knee

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow sustained a knee injury during Super Bowl LVI that won’t require surgery, NFL Network reported Tuesday.

It will require rehabilitation, per the report, however it’s not expected to negatively impact his offseason.

It’s unclear when Burrow sustained the injury, although his leg got caught underneath the pile on one of the seven sacks the Los Angeles Rams recorded during Sunday’s game. Burrow let out a yell on the play during the fourth quarter. He limped to the sideline but remained in the game.

He finished with 263 yards passing and a touchdown for the Bengals, who dropped a 23-20 decision to the Rams.

Burrow, 25, completed 70.4 percent of his passes for 4,611 yards, 34 touchdowns and 14 interceptions in 16 games this past season. He was sacked 70 times during the regular season and postseason.
