Despite having Jabari Parker as their No. 1 player throughout the draft process, it is being reported by Chad Ford over at ESPN (subscription required) that Andrew Wiggins is currently the favorite to end up in a Cleveland Cavaliers uniform when the draft rolls around next month.
Ford had this to say…
One good source told me that the Cavs have already told Wiggins’ camp he’s the front-runner.
This is also an indication that former Kansas center Joel Embiid might be out of the running. Embiid, the lone big man atop most scout’s rankings right now, has some injury concerns heading into the draft.
Parker is seen as the most pro-ready player in the draft, while Wiggins ceiling seems to be much higher at this point.
