Just when it seemed Aldon Smith was in the clear when it comes to off-field incidents comes a new report that he’s being investigated for what’s being described as a “domestic incident.”
TMZ Sports has the exclusive report on this.
“Sources tell us cops in San Francisco were called early Saturday morning and responded to a home in the city. Smith owns a house in San Francisco. Police interviewed Smith and the alleged victim and took a report. The case is under ‘active investigation.'”
If anything comes of this incident, it seems unlikely Smith will ever see an NFL field again as a player.
The Oakland Raiders pass rusher is just now set to be reinstated in March after a suspension that lasted longer than a year, and the Raiders are excited about finally getting him back. Given his extensive history of off-field issues, one wonders if the league office would consider reinstating Smith until this latest incident is resolved.
As of now, TMZ reports Smith has not been arrested. We’ll be watching this closely to see what happens next.
