After one year with the San Francisco 49ers, speedy receiver Marquise Goodwin has reportedly landed a big-time raise on a three-year extension.

Josina Anderson of ESPN reported the terms first.

Last year in free agency, Goodwin signed a two-year deal with the 49ers worth a total of $6 million. Now he’s looking at $10 million guaranteed, which is very impressive for a guy who’s only just now starting to show what he can do at the NFL level.
In the four seasons Goodwin spent with the Buffalo Bills, he was ill-utilized and had trouble producing. He caught a grand total of 49 passes for 780 yards in those four seasons. Then, as a featured player in Kyle Shanahan’s offense last year, he eclipsed that total by hauling in 56 passes for 962 yards.
Goodwin was particularly effective once quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo took over, quickly becoming one of the quarterback’s favored targets. Clearly, the 49ers have big plans for him going forward.
