Reigning NL MVP Christian Yelich to miss fourth consecutive game

The Milwaukee Brewers now have to officially be concerned about reigning National League MVP Christian Yelich and his back injury.

Yelich is slated to miss a fourth consecutive game Saturday against the Texas Rangers.

While Yelich has not been placed on the injured list, his back injury has now kept him from multiple games.

In the midst of both the NL Central and wild card races, Milwaukee simply can’t afford to be without Yelich for too long. The Brewers are 1-2 in the three games that Yelich has missed.

Yelich, 27, has been absolutely tremendous this season. He’s hitting .336 with 39 homers, 84 RBI and a .428 OBP.
