Ref blasted for stopping Henry Cejudo-Dominick Cruz fight prematurely

One of the biggest fights on the UFC 249 slate Saturday evening in Jacksonville also provided one of the most questionable decisions of the evening.

Henry Cejud was attempting to retain his bantamweight title against a promising fighter in that of Dominick Cruz.

The fight itself was back and forth through pretty much two rounds before Cejud knocked Cruz to the mat following several vicious blows.

As Cejud had Cruz pinned late in Round 2, the referee on the scene in Jacksonville called the fight.

You can be the judge regarding whether the fight was called too early.

As it relates to those close to the MMA world, the common belief was that the fight was in fact called prematurely. That included those actually calling the fight on pay-per-view.
