Redskins say DeAngelo Hall hasn’t decided to retire, despite Hall saying he’s not playing

Courtesy of the Washington Post: DeAngelo Hall (four total targets) leads a surprising top-ranked defense.

On Monday, Washington Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall told reporters he is retiring from the NFL. He said, definitively, that he’s “not playing” in 2018, while noting he’s keeping his options open from “organizations to networks.”

Apparently, Hall and the Redskins aren’t exactly on the same page here.

What’s fascinating here is that the team’s Twitter account cites, “reports” as being the source of this supposed rumor. When, in fact, Hall’s own words are what got this ball rolling.

Washington is known as being one of the biggest dumpster fires in the NFL. It has been for years. So it’s hardly surprising that there’s a disconnect here. We’ll be waiting on pins and needles to see how this all shakes out.
