The entire Houston Astros cheating scandal that dominated the news cycle during the spring isn’t really on the front burner right now.

Instead, it’s all about the truncated 60-game regular season being completed and what promises to be a playoff format unlike anything we’ve seen in Major League Baseball history.

This doesn’t mean players on other teams are over a scandal that culminated in Houston moving on from both its manager and general manager.

Take Cincinnati Reds pitcher Trevor Bauer as a recent case study. Having already called the Astros out in a big way, the veteran took to the mound against the Chicago White Sox Saturday evening wearing some epic cleats.

Yes, you are seeing trash cans on Bauer’s cleats. Get it?

As noted above, the boisterous Bauer has been among those most outspoken against the Astros since their sign-stealing scandal became public record.

With his Reds having won eight of 10 and right in the thick of the National League Playoff race, Bauer is now making news in another way.
