MLB made an announcement Thursday that had many fans scratching their heads. The league has given the Tampa Bay Rays permission to look into potentially splitting their seasons with the first half being played in Tampa and the second half being played in Montreal.
On the one hand, it makes sense. The Rays are embarrassing themselves nightly with ridiculously low attendance numbers, despite sporting one of the best teams in MLB.
On the other hand, it just seems absolutely bonkers to think such a proposal would actually go through.
