Just when he started to play better basketball in a season that’s been defined by struggles, Toronto Raptors star big man Marc Gasol will be sidelined for the foreseeable future.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Gasol will miss multiple weeks with a hamstring injury he suffered during Wednesday’s win over the Detroit Pistons.
Having already been linked to Cleveland Cavaliers big man Tristan Thompson, this could expedite the need for Toronto to trade for a reinforcement.
Gasol, 34, is averaging just 6.6 points and 6.6 rebounds on 36% shooting from the field this season.
