Raptors’ Norman Powell out indefinitely with fractured finger

Norman Powell

Toronto Raptors guard Norman Powell will be out for the foreseeable future after suffering a fractured finger, Blake Murphy of The Athletic shared Saturday.

It’s a tough blow for Powell, who has come on strong for the Raptors this season, his fifth as a pro. The former second-round pick has averaged 15.3 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game — all career highs.

With Powell sidelined indefinitely, Raptors head coach Nick Nurse will need to get creative with his lineups, as he’s been a tremendous swing player and the team’s top bench performer.
