Rams and Cowboys will play preseason game in Hawaii

The Los Angeles Rams will host the Dallas Cowboys in a preseason game in 2019. But the game will not be played in Southern California.

The Rams announced on Thursday that they’ll host the Cowboys for preseason game on August 17 at Aloha Stadium in Hawaii.

Aloha Stadium is, of course, no stranger to the NFL. From 1980-2016, the venue hosted all but two (2010, 2015) Pro Bowls. But after that run, the game was moved to Camping World Stadium in Orlando.

The preseason game between Dallas and Los Angeles will mark the NFL’s first return to Aloha Stadium and Hawaii in general since that move.

For however long the starters are in the game, the folks in Hawaii will be treated to a good one. The Cowboys and Rams both won their respective divisions in 2018. They also met in the Divisional Round of the NFC Playoffs, a game which Los Angeles won.
