Although the news of a new Nevada license plate adorned with the iconic Raiders shield logo is no guarded secret, an email from the team’s philanthropic today made its release date official.
Nevada residents who call themselves members of Raider Nation will soon be able to show their pride every time they get in their car and pay their annual car registration fees. The team has announced the official Raiders license plate will be available for order in January 2019.
The plate will cost $62 additionally each year with $30 earmarked for the Raiders Foundation. For an additional $35, you can personalize your plate.

It will join the already available Vegas Golden Knights plates which have proven a massive success. According to a recent story by our friend Mick Akers at the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the VGK plate has generated 11,478 orders in just a few months. That’s a total of 8,738 active registrations and 2,740 personalized plates on the heels of the team’s Stanley Cup Finals run earlier this year.
With the Raiders still almost two years away from calling Nevada home, the Raiders plates may sell slower at first but pick up steam as the excitement over their relocation – and the completion of the team’s new stadium in July 2020 – comes closer to fruition.
