Tony Stewart has long earned a reputation as someone who will race literally anything in motorsports.

He is already a three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, an Indy Racing League champion and a champion in all three USAC national dirt open wheel championships. He has frequently raced dirt Sprint Cars while moonlighting in pavement Late Models and Modifieds.

This is hardly an exhaustive list of the things ‘Smoke’ has raced over the years. He has spent the past two years adding another discipline to his resume in NHRA drag racing in the Top Alcohol Dragster class and will race this season full-time in the Top Fuel division.

With that said, Stewart has told people in person over the years what his favorite car and track combination is, and he took to social media this past week with the same answer.

“My all-time favorite car is a Midget and my favorite place to run it is the Chili Bowl,” he said.

Yep.

He’s always said it too.

“That track is suited perfectly for those cars and creates a lot of excitement. When your car is right it is a blast around there. So that is still my favorite car and my favorite track.”

Stewart has raced the Chili Bowl 14 times from 1993 to 2013 with wins in 2002 and 2007. He has made the Saturday feature 12 times. There was also a stretch where he volunteered on the track prep crew.

Chili Bowl takes place next week, Monday through Saturday, with the entire event airing live on FloRacing. The C-Mains, B-Mains and A-Main will simulcast on FloRacing and MAVTV.
