Quest win twice, move into Group B lead at Bali Major 2023

Quest Esports took two victories on Saturday to grab first place in Group B at the Bali Major 2023.

Quest swept nouns with 41- and 31-minute wins on red. They also beat Evil Geniuses with a pair of 31-minute victories on red.

BetBoom Team held on to second place in Group B after sweeping 9Pandas and notching a 1-1 draw against PSG.LGD. BB posted wins on green in 57 minutes and 45 minutes in the sweep of 9Pandas.

Team Liquid remained in first place in Group A with a sweep of Team Spirit and a split with Invictus Gaming. Liquid took the match against Spirit with victories in 37 minutes on red and 31 on green.

Despite a 1-5-0 match record, beastcoast moved into a second place tie in Group A with a sweep of Team Aster — 34 minutes on green and 43 on red — and a split with Spirit.

Tied in second place with seven map wins are Tundra Esports, which posted wins on green in 50 and 37 minutes against Blacklist International.

Eighteen teams from around the world were invited to compete for a $500,000 prize pool. The winner will receive $200,000 and 600 DPC points, and the runner-up will earn $100,000 and 550 DPC points.

Group Stage 1 runs through Monday, with a single round-robin format and all matches best-of-two.

The top four teams from each group will advance to the upper bracket of the playoffs, while the fifth- and sixth-place teams from each group advance to the lower bracket. The playoffs will be contested in a double-elimination format from July 5-9. All matches are best-of-three, except for the best-of-five Grand Final.

Aster and Spirit held on to a tie for fourth place in Group A on Saturday.
