The Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, has been temporarily closed since mid March due to COVID-19. That is about to change.
The museum announced its reopening date on Thursday.
Football cans can once again enter the Pro Football Hall of Fame museum starting on June 10th, the museum announced on Twitter:
“We stand ready to provide inspiration to fans eager to celebrate excellence,” said David Baker, president & CEO of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, “And we will do so in a responsible manner that puts the safety of the visiting public and our dedicated staff at the forefront of each decision we have made in reaching this point and that we will continue to make moving forward.”
The museum’s reopening will include many safety measures to ensure the health of its employees and the general public.
Among the changes or enhanced safety measures in place at the Hall of Fame Museum are:
On Thursday, the NFL sent a memo to all its 32 teams allowing coaches to return to team facilities. The only team that will not yet be allowed back into its facility is the San Francisco 49ers, due to the city of Santa Clara not yet opening up to that extent.
The NFL is also expecting training camp, preseason games and the regular season to kick off on time.
