Tiger Woods is a 15-time Major champion. The PGA Tour legend has also won the Masters Tournament a whopping five times. That included an astonishing performance amid major backstories in the 2019 iteration of the Major.
One of the best to ever do it, Woods has since fallen on hard times. Injuries have impacted his ability to take to the green. He was also involved in a near-fatal auto accident back in February of 2021.
Woods’ last appearance at Augusta National led to him being forced to withdraw over injury. Heck, he had not played in a tournament since withdrawing in the second round of The Genesis Invitational last month due to the flu.
After shooting one over par on the opening day of the Masters Tournament on Thursday, the front nine represented a mixed bag in Round 2.
Woods started the day with a birdie on the par-four third hole.

After a bogey on seven, Woods found himself facing a par-five eight. He birdied to pull even on the day. His lay on the green set this one up.

Will prime Tiger Woods continue at the 2024 Masters?
Given what we’ve seen from the 48-year-old legend, there has to be some concern about him holding up for 72 holes.
Woods is now headed into Saturday’s action having made history with the most consecutive Master Tournament appearances without missing a cut.
The goal here is not to win the 2024 Masters. He’s eight shots behind leaders Max Homa and Bryson DeChambeau. Instead, it’s all about playing his vintage game and sustaining success through four days of high-pressure golf.
If Woods is able to do that, it bodes well for his return to relevance moving forward in the 2024 PGA Tour season.
