Potential 2020 first-round pick Walker Little returning to Stanford

Walker Little NFL Draft

Jaime Valdez-USA TODAY Sports

Stanford Cardinal left tackle Walker Little entered his junior season as a lock to be a top-10 selection in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Unfortunately, the all conference performer suffered a dislocated knee in Stanford’s season opener against Northwestern and has been sidelined since.

Little took to social media on Monday to announce that he’s returning to Stanford for his senior season to get his degree, bypassing the 2020 NFL Draft in the process.

This represents one less blindside protector for team to consider once the draft comes calling in April.

For Little, it makes a lot of sense. Those attending Stanford tend to be all about their education. Getting his degree is the goal here.

If Little can return 100% healthy as a senior, it also helps his stock for the 2021 NFL Draft. It’s a win-win situation for the young tackle.
