With the July 31 trade deadline looming, the Pittsburgh Pirates are reportedly making a number of their veteran players available.
While stars like closer Felipe Vazquez are not on the block, veterans such as starting pitcher Jordan Lyles, as well as outfielders Bryan Reynolds and Melky Cabrera are said to be.
Any team acquiring Lyles would be hoping for him to rediscover his early season-form. After starting the year well, Lyles has struggled mightily. Overall, he’s posted a 5.19 ERA and 1.400 WHIP.
Dickerson has been sidelined with injuries for much of the year. He’s healthy now, though, and has hit .276/.330/.469 with two home runs in 98 at-bats on the season. Cabrera has hit .303/.339/.443 with six home runs in 224 at-bats.
