Pistons favored to sign former MVP Derrick Rose, per report

The Detroit Pistons are looking for more help at point guard behind the enigma that is Reggie Jackson.

It’s in this that Detroit is favored to land former NBA MVP Derrick Rose once free agency starts, per Frank Isola of The Athletic.

Rose, 30, has struggled big time with injuries since earning the MVP award with his original Chicago Bulls team back in 2010-11.

Though, he did have a bit of a resurgence this past season in Minnesota. Rose averaged 18.0 points and 4.3 assists while shooting a robust 48 percent from the field.

There’s a very good chance that Rose would end up beating Jackson out for the starting point guard job in Detroit next season.
