Major League Baseball will host the Little League Classic at Bowman Field in Williamsport, Pennsylvania for a third straight year in 2019.

Next August, NL Central rivals will square off when the Pittsburgh Pirates take on the Chicago Cubs.

This will mark Pittsburgh’s second appearance in three years in the game. In 2017, they defeated the St. Louis Cardinals. The announcement was made during 2018’s game between the Philadelphia Phillies and New York Mets.

MLB clearly has an interest in keeping this game going, which makes sense. It’s a great event, giving the Little Leaguers a chance to interact with the Major Leaguers.
