The Philadelphia Phillies will have a new, but also old look during some of their 2018 games. The powder blue uniforms — which served as the team’s primary road uniform from 1970-1991 — will be worn during select home games.

These uniforms were worn in an era where many teams wore bright colors. These were certainly no different.

The Phillies enjoyed great success in those uniforms. They made the playoffs six times (1976-1978, 1980-1981, 1983), won two National League Pennants (1980, 1983), and claimed the franchise’s first World Series (1980).
