Phil Jackson won’t confirm pursuit of Dwyane Wade

While everyone waits for Kevin Durant to make his decision in free agency, one of the most remarkable situations surrounding the NBA in recent days has involved future Hall of Fame guard Dwyane Wade.

Considered a lock to return to the Miami Heat just a few short days ago, Wade is now taking offers and talking with other teams around the Association.

The New York Knicks, who have added both Joakim Noah and Derrick Rose thus far this summer, are one of the teams that seem to be most interested in the guard.

Despite this, Knicks president Phil Jackson refused to confirm that the team is making a run at Wade.

The whole idea of Wade potentially leaving the Heat seems to be absolutely ridiculous. That’s until we realize Miami has reportedly given Wade a low-ball offer of $10 million per season, money that just barely bests what Matthew Dellavedova received from the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday.

It will definitely be interesting to see how all this plays out. Though, Wade returning to South Beach no longer seems to be a foregone conclusion.
