As reactions from across the NBA poured in to the blockbuster Anthony Davis trade to the Los Angeles Lakers, the New Orleans Pelicans delivered perhaps the greatest reaction to their own move.
Shortly after ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski dropped the breaking news, the Pelicans’ Twitter account tweeted out the Joker’s “And here we go” line for all to enjoy.
It’s the perfect reaction for what’s about to go down in New Orleans. The Pelicans are a few days away from drafting Zion Williamson and he’ll now potentially join a core of Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart and another rookie with the No. 4 overall selection.
While everyone is excited about what will be going on in Los Angeles, the Pelicans are set to be extremely fun to watch as well next season. It’s also just the start of the offseason, so general manager David Griffin could have even more big moves planned in the coming months.
