Paul George will reportedly re-sign with the Thunder

About that whole summer of Paul George thing we’ve been waiting the past year for. Well, that never really came to fruition.

Linked to his hometown Los Angeles Lakers for well over a calendar year, it seemed increasingly likely that George would in fact decide to remain with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Once free agency opened up, that’s exactly what happened.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, George has in fact committed to re-signing with the Thunder.

This comes on the same night that teammate Russell Westbrook had a party in Oklahoma City. That was a clear indication that the Thunder were planning on celebrating something special.

George, 28, averaged 21.9 points and 5.7 rebounds in his first season with the Thunder. He’ll now be around at least one more year. Terms of the deal have not yet been reported.
