The New England Patriots’ videotaping incident that has the NFL world buzzing now features additional allegations that hint the Patriots were not doing what they claim they were doing.
ESPN’s Dianna Russini shared information from a source Monday afternoon that claims a Bengals employee was watching the cameraman, who identified himself as a Robert Kraft employee. The employee was watching the monitor as the videotape rolled, and says the video was focused on the Bengals sidelines for the entire first quarter.
Furthermore, after the Bengals employee flagged media relations, Bengals security interviewed the Kraft videographer, an incident that was taped, per Russini, and at that time the Kraft employee reportedly “asked if they could just delete the footage and let it all be forgotten.”

These allegations are much different than what the Patriots have said they were doing in the press box.
So, we know the NFL is investigating this incident. What we don’t know is what the facts really are. Being that this is the Patriots we’re talking about here — a team that’s been penalized heavily by the NFL for cheating twice in recent memory — it’s going to be fascinating to see how all this unfolds in the coming days.
