Paris Ford on fight with Pitt teammate: ‘Madden gets heated’

A couple of Pitt football players are facing misdemeanor disorderly conduct/engaged in fighting charges after getting into it earlier this month. Paris Ford and Tyler Sear, a couple of freshmen, had police called on them on Oct. 17 for fighting in the dorms.

After a social media post by Ford, and a subsequent response from Sear, it seems clear this whole thing was sparked by a game of Madden.

Pitt spokesman E.J. Borghetti said the incident was “immediately addressed and the appropriate disciplinary actions from a program standpoint have been internally handled,” per Brian Batko of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

The police report doesn’t offer many juicy details, but it does note “this course of conduct created a physically hazardous condition to a degree police response was required.”

Boys will be boys. And Madden gets heated. Two facts of life we just cannot avoid, apparently.
