Carolina Panthers rookie quarterback Will Grier was carted to the locker room after taking a big hit on a Cam Jordan sack during the second against the New Orleans Saints.

Jordan’s hit was clean, but afterward Grier stayed on the ground for a couple minutes and was attended to by trainers. Ultimately, he limped off the field before being carted into the locker room.

Kyle Allen replaced Grier in the lineup.

The Panthers started Grier for the first time last Sunday after weeks of poor play from Allen. Grier, a third-round pick out of West Virginia this past spring, struggled last weekend, and had already thrown a pick-six in Sunday’s game against the Saints.
