Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson and left tackle David Bakhtiari did not participate in practice for the second straight day on Thursday.

Watson, who is recovering from a hamstring injury, worked out inside the Don Hutson Center on Wednesday and arrived later in practice Thursday.

Bakhtiari often receives veteran days off. He was spotted riding the stationary bike during practice Wednesday and Thursday and is expected to be available Sunday at Chicago.

Rookie receiver Dontayvion Wicks was able to work on a limited basis and is also working through a hamstring injury that sidelined him in August.

On the positive front, wide receiver Romeo Doubs returned to the practice field for the first time in two weeks.

The Packers are beginning the Jordan Love era in earnest as head coach Matt LaFleur tries to improve to 9-0 against the Bears with a new quarterback. The 24-year-old Love appeared in just 10 games in two seasons behind Aaron Rodgers, who was traded to the New York Jets in the offseason.

LaFleur said the Packers won’t put Doubs at risk long-term by playing him this week if he’s not ready physically.

Doubs, 23, finished with 42 receptions for 425 yards and three touchdowns in 2022. He played in 13 games, starting seven.

Watson, 24, recorded 41 catches for 611 yards and seven touchdowns in 14 games (11 starts) as a rookie in 2022.

Bakhtiari, 31, is entering his 11th season with the Packers, who drafted him in the fourth round in 2013.

The three-time Pro Bowl and two-time All-Pro first-team selection has made 130 regular season starts for Green Bay, although a knee injury limited him to one start in 2021 and 11 in 2022. He has had four surgeries since tearing his left ACL in December 2020.
