Allen Lazard is not ready for his debut as the Green Bay Packers’ No. 1 receiver.

Lazard, elevated to top target status for the Packers upon the trade of All-Pro Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders, is officially doubtful for Sunday’s Week 1 visit to the Minnesota Vikings with a knee injury.

Lazard was “stepped on” and missed two practices last week, then did not practice this week.

The Packers are trending positive at other positions with offensive tackle David Bakhtiari (knee) and guard Elgton Jenkins (knee) questionable. Jenkins hasn’t played since tearing his ACL at Minnesota last November.

Tight end Robert Tonyan (knee) is also expected to play for the first time since tearing his ACL in October 2021.

Lazard has 109 career catches for 1,448 yards and 14 touchdowns in 42 games (25 starts) since the Packers signed him in December 2018. He was an undrafted free agent out of Iowa State.

Lazard, Randall Cobb and Sammy Watkins were listed as the starters on the team’s first official depth chart. Wideouts Christian Watkins, Romeo Doubs, Amari Rodgers and Samori Toure are also on the 53-man roster.
