Indiana Pacers star guard Tyrese Haliburton will miss his fifth straight game by sitting out Sunday’s contest against the Memphis Grizzlies in Indianapolis.
Haliburton was ruled out on Sunday morning due to management of his strained left hamstring. The All-Star sustained the injury in the Pacers’ 133-131 victory over the Boston Celtics on Jan. 8 and has missed nine of the team’s past 10 games.
Following an initial five-game absence, Haliburton returned to collect 21 points and 17 assists in 35 minutes in Indiana’s 118-115 setback to the Portland Trail Blazers on Jan. 19.
The Pacers have posted a 5-4 record with Haliburton in street clothes.
Haliburton, 23, is averaging a team-high 23.6 points and leads the league with 12.6 assists per game through 34 games (all starts) this season.
