The Professional Softball League (PSL) has found a home. The All Women’s Sports Network (AWSN) announced today the live television schedule for the inaugural season, including current and future teams, game times, and excitement for the latest in sports entertainment.
Live coverage of the PSL’s inaugural season will begin with the league’s opening game on June 12th. The Florida Vibe will take on the Florida Breeze in Bradenton, Florida, at 6:35 pm ET. The regular season will last until July 31st, with the postseason ramping up on August 5th and continuing through August 8th.
The inaugural season will feature five PSL teams, including the Atlanta Smoke, Florida Breeze, Florida Vibe, Kansas City Diamonds, and the NY Rise. Exhibition games will feature three teams: Birmingham Iron, Chattanooga Chill, and St. Louis Gatekeepers.
Excitement for Pro Softball on AWSN
It’s not just fans and sports enthusiasts who are excited about the Professional Softball League finding a home on AWSN. George Chung, CEO of AWSN, said, “Since the formation of the PSL last year, we have been super excited to see this new league launch on our network, and for it to provide an unprecedented structure for women’s softball teams to compete in and an opportunity for some of the sport’s best players to thrive in.”
PSL spokesperson and Florida Vibe owner, Ryan Moore, also got in on the action.
Moore commented, “Five years ago, the vision of building a true professional softball league for women was just the beginning. Today, seeing how much this league has grown, and knowing how much bigger it’s going to become with the support of a television partner like AWSN, is truly an amazing moment for the game and for its incredible athletes.”
Current and Future Teams
Five established teams comprise the spine of the PSL. The five teams played independently of any structured league last season. Each of these teams will play throughout the regular season in 2026.
This includes the Atlanta Smoke, Florida Breeze, Florida Vibe, Kansas City Diamonds, and N.Y. Rise.
As for new teams, there are three newly formed teams in 2026. They will each play a best-of-three game series during the regular season, and then join the established teams in the full regular season in 2027. The newly formed teams are the Birmingham Iron, Chattanooga Chill, and St. Louis Gatekeepers.
While the Florida Heat was previously stated to be playing this season, they will enter as a league expansion team in the 2027 season.
The All Women’s Sports Network
The All Women’s Sports Network, also known as the AWSN, is the premier television network dedicated to women’s sports.
The network is available on over 1 billion devices across 60 countries worldwide. AWSN is designed to “elevate female athletes at every level, from grassroots competitions to elite international leagues.” AWSN is available to stream on Pluto TV, Amazon Prime Video, DIRECTV, and Amazon Fire TV Stick.
Sports featured on the AWSN include basketball, softball, football, rugby, cricket, field hockey, disc golf, roller derby, and more.
