As the Baltimore Orioles look to replace departed GM Dan Duquette, one interesting name has emerged. MLB’s current Senior Vice President for Baseball Operations, Kim Ng.
Orioles GM search has been quiet to date but one name that’s just surfaced is Kim Ng. There is definite interest on O’s part.

Ng has also been reportedly discussed as a possible option for both the New York Mets and San Francisco Giants, as well. She would be the first woman to hold a GM job in any major sport.
Baltimore has also talked to former Los Angeles Dodgers general manager Ned Colletti. Colletti and Ng worked together in Los Angeles from the time Colletti was hired as GM (2005) until Ng left to take her current job in the league office (2011).
Interesting that Orioles interviewed ex-Dodgers GM Ned Colletti this year and are looking closely at Kim Ng for GM. They were together in Dodgers front office. Could they be hired as combo?

Ng has certainly been around baseball. She served as the Vice President and Assistant to the GM in Los Angeles. Prior to that, she held various jobs with the Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees.
She would bring nearly 30 years of experience to the table for a downtrodden Orioles franchise coming off one of the worst seasons in modern MLB history.
