Oregon’s Justin Herbert will return to college for senior season

The 2019 NFL Draft class just got a tad weaker at the quarterback position. Considered by most to be the best pro quarterback prospect in the college ranks, Oregon’s Justin Herbert announced on Wednesday that he’s returning to Eugene for his senior season.

This decision will have a significant impact at the top of next year’s draft. There’s now no clear-cut QB1 in the annual event.

Herbert put up nearly 3,000 passing yards with 28 touchdowns and eight interceptions for Oregon this past regular season. The prototypical 6-foot-6 signal caller will now top the Heisman contenders list for the 2019 season.

Meanwhile, quarterback-needy teams will have to look elsewhere when the 2019 NFL Draft takes place this coming spring.
