Oregon football coach Keith Heyward used his Twitter account to poke fun at Notre Dame Wednesday after flipping four-star recruit Braden Lenzy.
Lenzy had originally committed to Notre Dame but changed his mind, switching his allegiance to the Ducks.
After landing the No. 8 athlete in the nation (per 247 Sports), Heyward couldn’t help but express his joy at Oregon swiping him away from one of the biggest programs in the nation. He tweeted out a thinly-veiled shot at Notre Dame, using actor Sean Austin (“Rudy”) to send a message.
This is a scene from the movie “Encino Man.” Austin’s character likes a girl but is rejected, kind of like how Lenzy rejected Notre Dame in favor of Oregon. Speaking of Lenzy, he got the joke.
