In case you weren’t aware, Olympic downhill courses are ridiculously steep, not to mention usually pretty icy and generally impossible to navigate. Well, on Friday, one poor soul got to demonstrate these qualities trying to track down a walkie talkie that got dropped at the top of the run.
The person who attempted to corral the rogue communication device deserves some extra pay, of that I’m sure. Especially because the video of the recovery had my busting a gut.

Really, we have to give the retriever some huge props. Because there’s a good chance the average Joe or Joanne would have tumbled all the way down to the bottom, along with the walkie talkie, trying to wrangle that sucker.
