Oklahoma now has both Stoops twins after Isaac Stoops commits as walk-on

The Oklahoma Sooners have now landed two of Bob Stoops’ sons after Isaac Stoops committed as a walk-on Saturday. Previously, Drake Stoops committed as a preferred walk-on, and now his twin brother is joining the program as well.

Stoops made the announcement on Twitter.

Given the legacy Bob Stoops left as the former head coach of the Sooners, it’s hardly surprising his sons want to play for Oklahoma. As noted by ESPN’s Tom VanHaaren, “Isaac turned down scholarship offers, choosing instead to play for his father’s former school. Isaac had scholarship offers from Army, Central Oklahoma, Drake and a few others but is off to Norman to be a Sooner.”

This past year at Norman High School, Isaac Stoops was a productive two-way player as a defensive back and receiver. He had one interception on defense and caught 45 passes for 916 yards and 12 touchdowns on offense.
