Ohio State football’s top two players on offense have reportedly been offered NIL deals for 2024 that would match what they would get if they declared for April’s NFL Draft.

For the second straight season, Ohio State posted an 11-0 record and took that unbeaten mark into a massive matchup against top rivals Michigan. And just like in 2022, the Buckeyes unfortunately came up short against the Wolverines. However, unlike last year, they were unable to reach the college football playoffs.

It was a major setback that has now changed many player’s plans for the end of 2023. In recent days starting quarterback Kyle McCord and backup running back Chip Trayanum — an Ohio native — have entered the college football transfer portal, and they could be followed by several more teammates. But then there is the fact that the program has some players that could garner serious interest in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. has been seen as a player with big-time potential to be a star at the next level, and many believe it is inevitable that he will declare for April’s draft after Ohio State’s loss to Michigan two weeks ago.

The same could also be said of starting running back TreVeyon Henderson. Neither man has declared yet, and a new report claims they have a serious offer to think about before making a choice ahead of the deadline on Jan. 16.

Harrison Jr. and Henderson offered huge NIL deals for Ohio State football returns in 2024

On Wednesday night, Football Guy’s reporter Christian Williams claimed a source informed him “Marvin Harrison Jr. and TreVeyon Henderson have allegedly been offered NIL deals that rival first-round draft pick money to keep them at Ohio State for the 2024 season.”

First-round selections in the NFL Draft can earn anywhere from $2 to $8 million per season depending on where they are drafted. Harrison Jr. reportedly earned close to $2 million in 2023 and was behind 2022 Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams who is believed to have earned over $3 million in name, image, and likeness money this season.

The Ohio State football receiver is expected to be a top-15 selection if he declares for the 2024 draft. Early projections have Henderson being taken in the third round.
