Baltimore Ravens, Kansas City Chiefs among NFL teams reportedly in the mix for Odell Beckham Jr.

Odell Beckham Jr. made a strong impression on more than a dozen NFL teams attending his workout in Arizona. As the 30-year-old nears a return to football for the first time since his ACL tear in Super Bowl LVI, his market is heating up.

Beckham Jr., age 30, missed the entire 2022 season because of his recovery from ACL surgery. While he met with the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys and Buffalo Bills late in the year, he never worked out for them and club officials had concerns about his recovery from knee surgery.

Now more than a year removed from surgery, the three-time Pro Bowl selection is fielding calls from NFL teams interested in signing him as a No. 2 receiver. He proved he can still be effective when healthy, recording 21 receptions for 288 receiving yards during the Los Angeles Rams’ four-game Super Bowl run.

The market is also shaping up nicely for the veteran offensive weapon. The 2023 NFL Draft wide receiver rankings highlight the lack of high-end talent in this year’s class and a majority of teams believed there wasn’t a true No. 2 receiver available in free agency. As a result, there are several suitors lined up for Beckham Jr.

According to Jordan Schultz of The Score, the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens are among the teams showing interest in Beckham Jr. early in the free agency process.

The attention from the Chiefs and Ravens doesn’t come as a surprise. Kansas City lost JuJu Smith-Schuster to the New England Patriots and Mecole Hardman is also expected to depart for a better opportunity. Meanwhile, Baltimore has been in the market for a high-end receiver to pair with Rashod Bateman for two years.

Both teams will face competition from the Cowboys, Giants, Bills and likely other unnamed clubs for Beckham Jr. He is well-liked in locker rooms with many quarterbacks pushing their teams to make an effort to land him.

While there is no timetable for when Beckham Jr. will make a decision, he is reportedly prioritizing a multi-year contract that would make him one of the highest-paid receivers in the NFL. While he may fall short of a $20 million average salary, he will surpass the contracts Jakobi Meyers and Smith-Schuster signed.
