Three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has apparently narrowed his choices down to the Los Angels Rams and Green Bay Packers in NFL free agency.

Released by the Cleveland Browns earlier this week, OBJ wanted to latch on with a contender. Those two more than qualify given that they boast the best records in the NFC.

Interestingly enough, ESPN’s Adam Schefter noted Thursday afternoon that Beckham Jr. had opted to sign with the Rams.

That report was met by a rebuke from OBJ himself through another NFL insider in that of Josina Anderson.

“Odell Beckham Jr just told me he’s still, “on the fence” with his decision, as of this minute,” Anderson reported.

Kim Jones of NFL Media backed up Anderson’s reporting, too.

As for the Rams themselves, they might have jumped the gun a tad by posting on their site that OBJ had actually signed with the team. You simply can’t make this stuff up.

Said posted was almost immediately removed. So, what in the world is actually going on with Beckham Jr.? It’s obvious that Beckham Jr. is choosing between the Rams and Packers.

However, premature reports (and announcements) that the had in fact agreed to a deal with the Super Bowl-contending Rams are now giving way to more concrete information that indicates OBJ is on the fence.

All of this for a guy who has recorded 17 receptions in six games during the 2021 season. Obviously, teams are still under the impression Odell Beckham Jr. can return to earlier-career form that saw him five 1,000-yard seasons from 2014-19.

Stay tuned.
