Oddsmakers believe Ezekiel Elliott will play Week 1

It’s looking more and more like Dallas Cowboys holdout running back Ezekiel Elliott will remain away from the team at the start of the regular season.

Negotiations are not going well between the two sides. Meanwhile, Dallas’ front office continues to take rather interesting public stances surrounding the running back and his now-lengthy holdout.

If there’s any good news on this front, it comes from Las Vegas. Oddsmakers clearly believe that Elliott will report in time for Week 1.

Meanwhile, the same experts believe Los Angeles Chargers star Melvin Gordon will continue his hold out through the start of the season.

You know the old saying. If Vegas is putting money on it, don’t look the other way.

Both Elliott and Gordon have reason enough to suit up this season. If they are not on the field for eight games, they won’t accrue a season towards free agency. As of right now, Gordon is slated to become a free agent next March with Elliott hitting the open market in 2020.
