North Carolina freshman big man Day’Ron Sharpe declared for the NBA Draft on Wednesday.

The 6-foot-11 forward took to social media to make the announcement and to thank the Tar Heels for “believing that I would be a great addition to the team.”

“I feel that I’m now ready for the next level,” Sharpe posted, in part. “I’ve made it this far and there’s no reason for me to stop now! … I will be declaring for the NBA Draft with high hopes for the support of my Carolina Family.”
