The New York Mets announced Tuesday that ace pitcher Noah Syndergaard has been retroactively placed on the 10-Day Disabled List (back to May 26) for a strained ligament in his right finger.

May 26 is the last date Syndergaard pitched. He allowed six hits and three runs in a no decision start against the Milwaukee Brewers.

For the season, Syndergaard has a 4-1 record in 11 starts with an ERA of 3.06 and WHIP of 1.18. He also has 76 strikeouts and 13 walks in 64.2 total innings of work.

Hopefully for his sake, and for the sake of the Mets (and super fan Frank the Tank), this issue with his finger will resolve in short order. New York is currently four games outside of first place in the National League East with a record of 26-25.
