One of the biggest offseason stories is whether All-Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski will return to the New England Patriots, and everybody wants to know the answer.
But it’s probably best to take a breath.
While appearing on PFT Live, agent Drew Rosenhaus said there isn’t a timetable on when Gronkowski will make his decision.
Rosenhaus’ comment should help slow speculation, which began during Super Bowl press conferences. Gronkowski wouldn’t commit to playing in 2018 and reportedly has been considering retiring for a while.
And recently, Gronkowski’s “clueless” tweet may have been a response to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport saying the 28-year-old would be back.
The saga is not over. It will continue as long as Gronkowski hasn’t announced his future plans. But we should stop expecting something to be revealed soon.
