No Fun League strikes again: Stedman Bailey fined for nap celebration

Stedman Bailey celebrated a touchdown against the Arizona Cardinals by taking a nap, but the NFL has fined the St. Louis Rams wide receiver for the power-snooze.

According to ESPN’s Nick Wagoner, Bailey posted tweets—that have since been deleted—expressing his displeasure and wondering how to sign up for a GoFundMe account.

Rules are rules. The NFL does not allow players to use the football as a prop for celebrations, so the fine was expected. But man, Bailey provided viewers with a clever moment.

While watching live, it seemed Bailey might have sustained an injury because he immediately went to the ground. Turns out, he just needed a five-second nap to recover from the thrill of his first touchdown in 2015.

Bailey’s score gave St. Louis a 17-9 edge late in the third quarter, and the Rams ultimately toppled the Cardinals 24-22.

Perhaps a hat will be passed around the St. Louis locker room to pay Bailey back for his A-plus celebration. GoFundBailey, fellow Rams.
