Nick Saban throws serious shade at Tennessee following blowout win

Nick Saban Alabama

Nick Saban, after watching his No. 1-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide annihilate No. 9 Tennessee Saturday, threw some serious shade the Vols’ way.

Alabama’s offense absolutely rolled over Tennessee’s defense, to be sure. The Crimson Tide tallied 594 yards, 438 of which came via the ground attack.

That’s insane.

And to Saban’s point, perhaps Tennessee was due to be stomped in this fashion. After all, the Volunteers came into the game ranked No. 86 against the run, allowing 183 rushing yards per game, 4.48 yards per carry and had allowed 10 rushing scores in their first six games of the season.

But Tennessee was no slouch opponent.

It’s just that the Crimson Tide are making everyone look inferior these days. With top talent at literally every single position on the field, Nick Saban’s program has a tremendous talent advantage over every team in the nation.

Most would probably agree that the ‘Bama coach probably didn’t need to backhandedly call Tennessee a bad team out loud, with media surrounding him. There’s something to be said about winning with grace. Saban didn’t to that this time around, that’s for sure.

At this point, we’re wondering if Butch Jones’ face might be getting just a tad red.
