In a conference call with media members Monday night, Vegas Golden Knights General Manager Kelly McCrimmon announced that goaltender Robin Lehner will have shoulder surgery in the near future.

McCrimmon called it “cleanup surgery” and said there was nothing complex about the upcoming procedure. McCrimmon also said he expects the recently-signed Lehner to be ready to go for the start of training camp whenever it may be.

Lehner just signed a five-year, $25M contract with the Golden Knights after leading the team to the Western Conference Final against the Dallas Stars where they lost in six games. In the playoffs Lehner went 9-7 with a 1.99 GAA, .917 save percentage and four shutouts. Lehner was a Vezina Trophy finalist with the New York Islanders in 2018-19.
